Dear Supporter
It was great to see so many people at our AGM on 15 September.
Following the AGM we have written to the incoming Chair of the Transport and Environment Committee about Communal Bins in Nelson St and traffic issues at Abercromby Place and more generally. The Committee may decide the next phase of the Recycling Pilot later in November. We plan to leaflet all our households as we did in May to keep people abreast of developments and inform new residents.
Thanks to all who have paid their dues this year- and if you haven’t, please do so! Joining details are here – Membership Form

At the AGM we passed on our best wishes to David Young, a very long standing resident and member of the Association and our former Chair. Sadly, shortly afterwards he passed away. His funeral took place on 14th October in a packed St John’s Church and there were many representatives present from Northumberland Street and the New Town. David was a very outgoing personality and as a chair of the association very keen to build-up the warm sense of community he experienced when he came to Northumberland Street. Sincere condolences to Anna and the Young family. We will miss his warm presence in our streets.
Thanks everyone for your support for our community. Please feel free to get in touch with comments or suggestions.
