One of our members, Gerald Della Porta then contacted Martin Watson of the council to ask about the plans for the improvements. He was very helpful and provided a schedule of the works which quote “this is subject to change due to any unforeseen circumstances as the project progresses”.
**UPDATE 25 March 2021**
From Martin Watson – “As you may remember from my previous correspondence, these works were due to complete on the 26th March 2021. However, I must inform you that the works will not be completed on this date and are now planned to finish on the 31st May 2021. This is unfortunate delay has been caused by several factors and I am working closely with the contractor to resolve some productivity and quality issues.”
There is a positive point mentioned in the letter –
- Arrangements have been made with the Council’s Waste Team to ensure refuse collections are maintained.
I have noted some contact details below and a link to the update letter.
